A somewhat bigger update this time, adding a whole lot of spit polish.
- The game now has a main menu, options screen, and a dedicated credits screen instead of dumping credits in the log
- I’ve added a cutscene to the start and end of the game
- There’s a new-game screen now where you can set the map size and XP progression back to how they were in the initial version for 7DRL. It will also show you your party in advance and you can click on any portrait to roll a new character for that slot.
- Combat has gotten a big audiovisual overhaul adding sound cues and visual effects for most actions.
- Options have been expanded slightly so now you can configure how fast combat is simulated
While I still have things I’d like to add, I want to move on to the next project so I’m going to leave it here. I may not necessarily expand much on this project but I’ll definitely be repurposing for other stuff in the future.
I’ve got one smaller project I want to do before dedicating to my big immersive sim. A wildly different genre to this but it will still revolve around raiding tombs
